At cursornode.com, we recognize the privacy of your personal information is
important. Here are details on what types of personal information we collect when
you use and visit our servers and websites, and how we safeguard your
information. We never sell your personal information to third parties.
As with most other websites, we collect and use the data contained in web server log files.
The information in the log files include your IP (internet protocol) address, your
ISP (internet service provider, such as AOL or Time Warner Cable), the browser you
used to visit our site (such as Google Chrome or Firefox), the time you visited our
site, which pages you visited throughout our site, and what errors you encountered.
The data are used for intrusion detection and to detect abuses and errors that may interfere
with the normal services we render to our visitors and users.
Email messages are temporarily staged on our servers until these are processed.
Usually, the messages are processed within 24 hours and then taken offline for storage.
The site www.cursornode.com does not use cookies. However, it contains links to
an external site operated by our payment processor PayPal that may use cookies.
The site forum.cursornode.com runs a third-party forum software phpBB that uses
cookies for its normal operations. These cookies are an integral part of
the software, and do not contain personal information or used for tracking
users. The site may contain links to external sites that use cookies.
We use private SSL-secured HTTP end-points for license management. The license
protocol transmits validated pseudonymous data for managing licensed use of the
CursorNode program. For a subscription license, the data transmission occurs
some time after the program start and then at regular intervals selected by the
user. For an activation license, the data transmission only occurs on user
instigation when authorizing a license. The data transmission is required for the normal functioning of
the licensed CursorNode program. The transmission tells the program whether it
is authorized to run in licensed mode. An unlicensed CursorNode installation
does not transmit any data at all.
All PayPal transactions are subject to the PayPal Privacy Policy. Please refer
to the policy on their website.
We use a private SSL-secured HTTP end-point for accepting validated PayPal
transmission of transaction data. After order fulfilment, the data is archived
offline for storage and for business record keeping.
Network access to our servers is strictly controlled. The only publicly accessible
parts of our servers are the websites in our domain, and the SMTP servers for accepting incoming mail. For administration and internal data
processing, only validated personnel and processes at individually authorized IP addresses have access.
The server data processing we conduct are order fulfilment, software license management,
system redundancy synchronization, and data archiving for offline backup and business record keeping.
